The Role The Experienced Farm Hand is a key position, essential to the smooth day-to-day operations of this dynamic, mixed farming enterprise. You will be actively involved across all aspects of the business—cattle trading, the self-replacing dorper flock, and the dryland cropping program. Your responsibilities will cover a wide variety of hands-on tasks, specifically including mustering and yard work with livestock, containment feeding, fencing, general farm duties and the operation and routine maintenance of farm machinery. The successful candidate must be capable of working autonomously, demonstrating initiative, but will also function as part of a supportive team, reporting to a day-to-day manager who coordinates weekly tasks. In this environment, everyone is expected to contribute to all jobs, both big and small, ensuring incredible variety where no two days are the same. The Employer Bullindgie Pastoral Co is a modern, forward-moving, and progressive family-owned business. Their main enterprise is cattle trading (3,000 steers annually), complemented by a self-replacing dorper flock (2,500) and 2,000 hectares of dryland cropping. The property is located approximately 50km (30 minutes) from a local town that offers a grocery shop, pharmacy, medical center, hospital, pub, and a school up to Year 10. The Ideal Candidate The Ideal Candidate will possess a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and a genuine interest in stock and farming, and will: Have experience with livestock and machinery (preferred). Hold a manual car license (essential). A truck license is beneficial but not essential. Be capable of working with minimal instruction. Be tidy and responsible.
